A look back – and a look ahead.
Every summer teaches us something new.
We hear from families after the season ends. We debrief with camp directors. We reflect on the matches that worked beautifully and occasionally on the ones that needed a second look. And every year, that process makes us better at what we do.
Here are a few things this season reminded us:
The Right Camp Isn't Always the Most Well-Known One
Some of our most magical matches this year were camps that families had never heard of before they came to us. Don't let name recognition narrow your search before it starts.
Kids Surprise You
The child who was nervous to go ended up not wanting to come home. The kid who "wasn't sure about sleepaway" is already asking about next summer. It happens more than you'd think.
The First Summer Sets the Tone
Getting the first camp experience right matters enormously – not just for that summer, but for how a child feels about camp for years to come. This is why we take the matching process so seriously.
Parents Need Support Too
Drop-off is hard. The first week is hard. Visiting day is emotional. You're not alone in that and knowing what to expect makes it so much more manageable.
And you know what? You did it! Give yourself a huge pat on the back.
We're Continuously Grateful
The trust families place in us to help guide their camp decisions is something we deeply value. Thank you for choosing us, for your questions, your updates, and for letting us be part of your summers.
We're already looking ahead to next season. And we can't wait.
